The expansion of the community center in Kruibeke goes hand in hand with the renovation and redevelopment of two historic buildings near the town square. An old fire department building will be demolished and replaced by a library and multipurpose hall. The project creates the new face of the center of Kruibeke, where reconciliation between the new building and adjacent historically valuable buildings can occur.
Thanks to a new organization, all functions of the program can function separately, but it’s also possible to combine utilitarian functions. By means of the choice of materials and subtle detailing of the facade elements, the amenity value from the center square is also enhanced.
