At Architenko we do more than create the layout of the building's design, the establishment of the building permit documents, and the construction site supervision.

We guide you through the whole construction process to make sure it can take place without any problems and any stress. We also offer digital visualizations and BIM-Models.

A structured approach with an eye for detail is what counts.

Profile

In partnership with you, Architenko creates a sustainable working and living environment!  Respecting the landscape and the urban environment is our main aim as well as promoting social development, well-being, and economic growth.

Landscape
The action and interaction between natural and human factors determine the character of a landscape that people perceive. At Architenko we always keep this in mind and during the elaboration of each project we ask the questions: "What is the identity of the current landscape?"; "How is the landscape perceived?"; and above all: "What are the possible consequences of certain interventions?". This way, we avoid drastic and undesirable outcomes such as the loss of identity, the weakening of biodiversity, the risk of flooding, pollution and the like.

Urban Fabric
The urban fabric is an infinite web within a natural landscape. It consists of functional zonings, open and built-up spaces, roads and its experience. Architenko developed several guidelines that determine how to deal with the urban fabric. At the start of each project we look for answers to the following questions: "Which part of the urban fabric is directly involved in this project?"; "What are the characteristics of the context?"; "Is the current situation positive or negative?" and "How can we deal with the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the urban fabric?".

Social Development
Designers have a direct influence on social development within society. For example, the design of a collective or public space can determine the interaction between people. This has direct implications for the development of an individual and how this individual interacts with others. At Architenko we are committed to creating connections between people, facilitating interaction, breaking through anonymity and preventing segregation. This happens with respect for individual privacy.

Well-being
Well-being determines the quality of life of every single person. Livability and comfort, two concepts that are closely related to urban and architectural designs or interventions, are an important part of this well-being. The quality of life of an environment indicates how attractive or suitable it is as a working or living environment. That’s why we focus on the desired comfort in every area.

Economic Growth
Economic growth is an important aspect of our society. When the economy grows, employment, purchasing power and social security increase. Economic activities have a direct link with urbanism and architecture. For example, companies need space and an adapted infrastructure to house or expand their activities. A conscious use of space and the integration of flexibility is then a requirement for our designs. This way, we respond to needs that may arise in the future.

Architenko-499444885

A step-by-step approach in each project, eye for design and unique concepts, characterizes our studio. Moreover, we offer an excellent service by supporting our design and construction processes with BIM and three-dimensional models.

Step-by-step Approach
Every project has its own complexity. With a step-by-step approach, recorded and developed by Architenko, we always keep the goal of the project in mind. In doing so, we consider stakeholders, risks, the program of requirements, timing, budget and quality.

Design
Every Architenko proposal is not only a solution to a problem, but also to its design. In our opinion, these four parameters determine the design: context, function, material and concept.

The context creates the framework for the possible design. The function determines the design in a way elements are brought together to facilitate its use. The used materials determine the design in function of the material properties, the color and the feeling they bring with them. But for Architenko, the most important parameter that determines design is the concept.

Unique Concepts
Simply building or offering a pragmatic solution is not enough for Architenko. Unique concepts are the norm for us and that is what we strive for every new project, in order to keep pushing the boundaries and be groundbreaking. We place ourselves between craftsman and artist, between reason and emotion, between community and nature. Within a concept, we clearly describe the ideas and give them a context, purpose and value. Each design is specifically conceived for that specified project or a context, which serves as a guideline throughout the entire process.

3D and BIM
The design and construction process are supported by the layout of a three-dimensional model or BIM model. A three-dimensional model helps to better understand and visualize the design. The BIM model, to which data is added, provides added value during the building process or the building management itself.

Our studio has extensive experience in the field of private housing, large-scale public procurement and urban development.

Sustainable Urbanism
Architenko's urban development team deals with urban processes. We investigate possible sustainable developments for new or existing areas and give in a systematic way shape to the public space.

Sustainable Architecture
Architenko's multidisciplinary team of architects design various typologies of buildings, together with its interior and exterior, all this within a sustainable framework. Only this approach can guarantee a coherent solution. Our team is responsible for the entire process, from concept to completion.

Our working method

An introduction meeting is the first step in every project. We really value getting to know our clients and partners as well as their needs, wishes, dreams and specific expectations. Only when we have the feeling that we can be of assistance to them and we have an understanding, we will go to the next step. If we can't offer the right solution, we will connect you with the right people for the job.

Once we decide to start our collaboration, we will proceed to the research fase. Our experts make a thorough analysis of the context as well as the functional, spacial and financial aspects of the project. This is the only way we can create the right concept that is completely tailored to your needs. When we create this concept based on the demands of the client we can finalize the project. We obviously also help with the administrative aspects.

During the building process we will keep a close eye on the project until the final delivery. Our clients can choose to opt for an extra 'project management' service. If they choose for this option, our expert will represent the client along every step of the way. This allows the client to save on time and stress.

Architenko will guide you from beginning to end, so you get the wanted result.

As a design studio, we think it’s important to have the time for our clients and partners to work and discuss projects in a focused environment.

Personal contact with our clients is very important to us. That’s why we always listen carefully to their story and try to answer all their questions appropriately. In order to facilitate this, we ask you as a customer to bundle substantive questions as much as possible and forward them by email. This way, we can deal with your questions more efficiently.

We strive to answer your questions by email within five business days and will of course remain available by phone for urgent questions.
