The townhouse of arch. Henri Smits from 1882 in neo-classical style, which is a part of architectural city heritage, was in need of renovation. With respect for the existing heritage the townhouse was renovated into an urban dwelling with contemporary comforts and an office space as a secondary function.

 

The existing volume was completely preserved, by opening up the rear facade. The historic façade is preserved and professionally restored.
